State-level Baisū Festival to begin on April 11 at Gandatwisa

Agartala, 9th  February 2026 :   The three-day state-level Baisū Festival is set to take place from April 11 to 13, 2026, at the grounds of Gandatwisa Higher Secondary School in Dhalai district.

In preparation for the event, a review meeting was held this afternoon at the Dhalai District Magistrate’s conference hall under the chairmanship of Tripura’s Minister for Social Welfare and Social Education, Tinku Roy.

The meeting was attended by Dhalai Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Sushmita Das, MLAs Sambhu Lal Chakma and Nandita Debbarma (Reang), MDC Bhumika Nanda Reang, former MP Rebati Tripura, District Magistrate Vivek H.B., along with senior officials and representatives from various departments.

Discussions focused on ensuring the festival’s success, with plans for government departments to set up stalls at the venue. Speaking to the media, Minister Tinku Roy emphasized that this year’s celebrations would be more elaborate and vibrant compared to previous years, with preparations underway to achieve that goal.
