Agartala, 13th February 2026: . The district-level “Udyam Samagam” program was organized today at the Ardhendu Bhattacharjee Memorial Hall, aimed at encouraging micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and supporting the expansion of their market reach.
Organized by Tripura Industrial Development Corporation Limited (TIDCL) under the Government of India’s MSME procurement and marketing support scheme, the event focused on familiarizing local entrepreneurs with government projects, procurement policies, and marketing assistance opportunities. Guidance was also provided on connecting locally produced goods to larger markets.
North Tripura District Magistrate and Collector Chandni Chandran, District Industries Centre General Manager Sajal Kumar Das, DIC Loan Manager Anjan Debbarma, Lead Bank Coordinator Tarun Kanti Das, Panisagar Krishi Vigyan Kendra Senior Scientist Dr. Surendra Kumar, Yubarajnagar Agriculture Sub-Divisional Officer Bijon Sharma, and Chief Trainer Rajib Deb were among the dignitaries present.
Officials from various departments engaged directly with entrepreneurs, discussing challenges and opportunities, while offering practical advice and direction. A special attraction of the program was the exhibition of locally manufactured products, showcasing the creativity and potential of district entrepreneurs.
According to officials, initiatives like Udyam Samagam are expected to open new horizons for MSME growth, strengthening the district’s economic activities and making them more dynamic.
