Agartala, 25th February 2026: The much-awaited Higher Secondary examinations conducted by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education commenced today, marking a significant academic milestone for thousands of students across the state.
On the opening day, candidates appeared for the English paper, which began at 12 noon. This year, 26,411 students are registered for the Higher Secondary examination, including 12,246 boys and 14,164 girls. In addition, 85 candidates are appearing for the Madrasa Fazil examination, comprising 58 boys and 27 girls. The examinations are being conducted at 99 venues across 62 centers throughout Tripura.
Meanwhile, the Madhyamik examinations are also underway this year, with a total of 32,404 students taking part, including 14,629 boys and 17,375 girls. A total of 155 candidates are registered for the Madrasa Alim examination, of which 129 are boys and 26 are girls. The Madhyamik exams are being held at 145 venues under 69 centers across the state.
Extending his best wishes to all examinees, Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha described the examinations as the beginning of a new chapter in students’ lives. In a message shared on social media, he encouraged students to approach the exams with confidence, perseverance, and a positive mindset, expressing hope that their dedication and hard work would lead to success and open doors to a bright future.
