Man Seriously Injured While Boarding Train at Dharmanagar Station

Agartala, 5th March 2026:  A 58-year-old man was seriously injured in an accident while traveling from Silchar to Agartala by train.

According to reports, Jayanta Bhattacharjee, a resident of Shingichara in Khowai district, boarded the train from Silchar with the intention of reaching Agartala. However, due to certain reasons, he got off at Dharmanagar Railway Station during the journey.

While attempting to reboard the train in a hurry, he lost his balance and fell, sustaining serious injuries.

Eyewitnesses immediately informed the Dharmanagar Fire Brigade, whose personnel rushed to the scene and rescued Bhattacharjee. He was then taken to Dharmanagar District Hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
