Fight is for rights of Tiprasa people: Pradyot

Agartala, 12th March 2026:    A bike procession organized by the Tipra Motha Party was held in the Lembuchhara area today, drawing a large number of party workers and supporters.

The rally, which moved through different parts of the locality with participants raising slogans, was attended by party leader Pradyot Kishore Debbarman.

Addressing the gathering during the procession, Debbarman said that their struggle is not aimed at securing positions such as minister or MLA but is focused on protecting the future of the next generation and ensuring the rights of the Tiprasa people.

He said the movement was launched to secure the legitimate rights of the indigenous Tiprasa community and to safeguard their future. According to him, the objective of the movement is not to attain political power but to fight for justice for the community.

Debbarman further stated that he would never compromise with what he described as the interests of his nation. He said that people have long witnessed his affection and sympathy for the community, but the time has now come to demonstrate the strength and determination of the movement.

Reiterating his commitment, he asserted that he would continue fighting for the rights of poor Tiprasa people and would not bow to any form of fear or pressure. He also called upon party workers and supporters to carry forward the movement in unity, assuring them of his continued support.

The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from party members who rode motorcycles across the Lembuchhara area while raising slogans in support of the movement.
