Agartala, 7th April 2026: With the ADC elections approaching, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has increased its campaign in the 8–Ganganagar–Gandachhara constituency. Today, BJP candidate Bhumikananda Reang, along with party leaders and workers, carried out a door-to-door campaign in several remote areas. The campaign was led by BJP Dhalai district general secretary Gopal Sutradhar.
During the campaign, the candidate along with party leaders and workers visited different remote localities and interacted directly with voters. They went from house to house, seeking support and listening to the concerns of the people. Bhumikananda Reang also sought the blessings of the public, referring to them as “janadevata” or the true strength of democracy.
Addressing the voters, both Bhumikananda Reang and Gopal Sutradhar highlighted the achievements of various welfare schemes implemented by the central and state governments.
Bhumikananda Reang claimed that unprecedented development in both hills and plains of the state has been possible due to the “double-engine government.” He further stated that the party is working towards inclusive development of all communities, irrespective of caste and tribe. He assured that through the ADC, they will continue to work to improve and provide services to people living in the hill areas. The candidate expressed 100% confidence about his victory.
Gopal Sutradhar also expressed strong confidence, stating that BJP’s victory in the Ganganagar–Gandachhara constituency is only a matter of time. He said that the people of the area will vote in favor of development, ensuring a massive win for the party.
