Commissioning second phase and postal ballot voting begin at Sabroom

Agartala, 7th April 2026:   The second phase of commissioning and postal ballot voting commenced today in Sabroom subdivision. The process focused on polling stations at 27 East Muhuripur-Bhuratli and 28 Shilachhari-Manubankul constituencies.

Commissioning activities were conducted at the office of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), where election materials and essential equipment were thoroughly checked. Meanwhile, postal ballot voting for staff engaged in election duties was carried out smoothly at Sabroom English Medium School.

The entire operation was supervised by Returning Officer and SDM of Sabroom, Suman Rakshit. He confirmed that all procedures were being executed strictly in line with Election Commission guidelines, with no reports of irregularities or disorder.

Administrative officials stated that preparations for the upcoming polls are nearly complete, with special emphasis placed on ensuring transparency and security throughout the process.
