Agartala, 10th April 2026: The Left Front has stepped up its campaign for the upcoming Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (ADC) elections. On Friday, the CPI(M) organized a door-to-door outreach program in support of its candidate, Sanjit Debbarma, contesting from the 14-Bodhjongnagar–Wakinagar constituency.
The campaign was held in Senapati Para under the Bamuthia Assembly segment. Candidate Sanjit Debbarma was joined by Bamuthia MLA Nayan Sarkar, CPI(M) Mohanpur divisional committee secretary Sudip Debnath, senior Left leader Dilip Das, and other party workers.
Speaking to the media after the program, Debbarma launched a sharp attack on the BJP and Tipra Motha. He alleged that while the two parties maintain a friendship in Agartala, they engage in political rivalry in the hills. “People have understood this double standard. The tribal community no longer wants them in power in the ADC,” he said.
Debbarma further asserted that the Left Front remains the only reliable force to safeguard the interests of the tribal population. Expressing confidence, he said voters would extend their support to Left candidates in the upcoming polls.
