Agartala, 11th April 2026:   The Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) election is set to be held on April 12, with the administration stepping up preparations to ensure smooth polling. On Saturday, election officials departed from the Kirrit Bikram Institution premises carrying Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and other essential materials for distribution across polling stations.

According to administrative sources, 62 polling stations have been set up in the 22-Kathalia Mirza Rajapur constituency and 46 in the 20-Killa Bagmara constituency, making a total of 108 polling stations across the two seats. Each station will be manned by five polling personnel and secured by five security officers to guarantee free and fair voting.

Returning Officer Tridip Sarkar stated that all necessary arrangements have been made to conduct the election in a transparent and impartial manner. Adequate staffing and security measures have been ensured at every polling station.

Officials noted a strong sense of enthusiasm and responsibility among polling staff, who have already undergone training and received detailed instructions. Meanwhile, political activity has intensified as parties gear up for the crucial vote. Despite the heightened tension in the political sphere, the administration remains confident that polling will be conducted peacefully.
