Upgradation and modernization of tourist infrastructure have resulted in a significant increase in visitors from outside the state. He also mentioned that recent high-profile visits, including Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty’s visit to the Mata Tripura Sundari Temple, have further boosted the visibility of Tripura’s tourism potential.

The MP added that the government plans to identify new tourist destinations and develop them into visitor-friendly sites in the coming years. Other speakers at the meeting also stressed the importance of positioning Tripura more prominently on the national tourism map.

Overall, the meeting is expected to play a significant role in shaping the future of tourism development in Tripura, with stakeholders expressing optimism about sustained growth in the sector.
