Udaipur declared No-Fly Zone ahead of Shah’s visit

Agartala, 4th June 2026:  In view of the visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Udaipur on June 5, 2026, the entire Udaipur Subdivision has been declared a No-Fly Zone for drones and other flying objects, whether manually operated or automated.

The order was issued by the District Magistrate of Gomati district under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). The restriction will remain in force throughout the day on June 5.

According to the official order, the ban applies to all types of drones and aerial objects within the jurisdiction of Udaipur Subdivision. However, the helipad of ONGC Tripura Power Company (OTPC) at Palatana has been kept outside the No-Fly Zone.

The District Magistrate stated that the measure has been taken to ensure security and maintain public safety during the Home Minister’s visit. The order further warned that any person found violating the directive will face legal action in accordance with the law.
