Agartala, 18th June 2026: A district-level “District Sabha” meeting of the Paschim Tripura Zilla Parishad was held on Thursday with representatives of various line departments to prepare a comprehensive development plan for the upcoming year.
Speaking on the occasion, Sabhadhipati Biswajit Shil said that the meeting was organized to bring together different departments working in coordination with the Zilla Parishad and to chalk out a roadmap for development activities.
“Today, we are holding a district-level meeting involving the various line departments that operate under different departments with whom we collaborate closely. The objective of this meeting is to formulate a plan for the entire year,” Shil said.
He informed that the departments would identify projects to be undertaken during the upcoming period and assess the funds available for implementation in different sectors. “We will outline the specific projects to be undertaken over the next 26–27 months and estimate the funds available for each sector,” he added.
The Sabhadhipati further stated that representatives of various departments presented their proposed activities and development plans during the first phase of the discussion. “This is our initial meeting; a second meeting will follow where all plans will be finalized. Representatives from different departments are here today to submit their proposals regarding the work to be done in various sectors,” he said.
According to Shil, another meeting is expected to be held around June 28 or 30, where the final work plan for the year will be prepared after reviewing all proposals.
The initiative aims to ensure better coordination among departments and effective implementation of development programmes across Paschim Tripura district.
