NDRF holds disaster preparedness training at Brajendranagar School

Agartala, 18th June 2026:   A special School Safety Program was organized at Brajendranagar Higher Secondary School in Dharmanagar subdivision by the 1st Battalion of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), RRC Agartala, to spread awareness about disaster preparedness and safety measures.

The program, held on Thursday at 11:30 AM, witnessed participation from students, teachers, and officials including the District Disaster Management Program Officer, Headmaster, NDRF Sub-Inspector, and local fire station officials.

During the workshop, the NDRF team conducted practical demonstrations on safety measures during earthquakes, fires, and floods. Students were trained in evacuation procedures, first aid, and basic rescue techniques.

Officials highlighted that while disasters cannot be predicted, proper awareness and training can greatly reduce losses. Students and teachers appreciated the initiative and called for more such programs in the future.
