Poverty could not stop him: Kanchanmala’s Rahul secures 8th rank in HS Examination

Agartala, 26th June 2026:    Despite battling severe financial hardships, Rahul Rudrapal of Kanchanmala Pal Colony has emerged as an inspiration by securing the eighth position in the state’s Higher Secondary examination this year. With determination, dedication, and strong support from his parents, Rahul achieved an impressive score of 477 marks.

Rahul comes from a humble family background. His father, Dilip Rudrapal, works as an auto-rickshaw driver and is the sole earning member of the family. His mother, Anita Rudrapal, is a homemaker. With limited income from driving an auto-rickshaw throughout the day, Dilip has been struggling to meet the family’s daily needs while also bearing the expenses of his son’s education.

Rahul had shown academic brilliance from an early age, but his remarkable performance in the Higher Secondary examination brought his talent into the spotlight. His success has brought immense happiness not only to his family but also to the entire Kanchanmala community.

Speaking to journalists on Thursday morning, Rahul shared his journey and highlighted the financial difficulties faced by his family. He said that his father has been working tirelessly to support his education despite facing numerous challenges. Rahul appealed to Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha for assistance, expressing hope that government support would help him continue his studies and achieve his dream of becoming a teacher.

Rahul said he plans to take admission in the D.El.Ed. College in Agartala to pursue his goal of entering the teaching profession. His parents, Dilip and Anita, dream of seeing their only son become a successful and respected person in society, and Rahul is determined to fulfill their aspirations.

Local political leaders and residents have congratulated Rahul on his outstanding achievement and assured him of their continued support. However, the challenge ahead remains whether Rahul will be able to overcome financial barriers and continue his journey towards fulfilling his dream.
