DYFI submits 7-Point memorandum to Health Department Over Key Healthcare Issues

Date:

Agartala, 1st July 2026:  The Tripura State Committee of the All India Democratic Youth Federation (DYFI) submitted a deputation to the Director of the Health Department on Wednesday, pressing for a seven-point charter of demands. A delegation from the organisation visited the office of the Health Department Director at Gurkhabasti in the state capital and handed over a memorandum outlining their demands.

The delegation included DYFI Tripura State Committee Secretary Nabarun Deb, President Palash Bhowmik, and other members.

After submitting the deputation, State Secretary Nabarun Deb told the media that a child from the Hapania area of Tripura is suffering from a rare and serious disease, and his treatment requires a large amount of financial assistance. The organisation demanded that the state government take responsibility for the child’s medical treatment.

They also raised concerns about a shortage of blood at the GB Hospital blood bank and urged the health authorities to address the issue. The delegation further requested that blood donation camps be allowed and encouraged across the state in a peaceful manner to ensure adequate blood supply.
