Agartala, March 08, 2023: IPFT MLA Shukla Charan Noatia tone has changed after being sworn-in as a cabinet member. “It is not possible to hold the claim of ‘Tipraland’ to the people for long because people really like development”, said Noatia while sitting in his official chamber at civil secretariat after taking the oath on Wednesday.

“To be clear, ‘Tipraland’ or ‘Greater Tipraland’ did not have much impact on the election. Rather, people voted on the question of development”, he added.

On this day, the lone IPFT MLA said, he is very happy to get the opportunity to be a member of the cabinet in Tripura. He thanked everyone for that. “I will try to reach the basic rights to the people after getting the new responsibility. In that, of course, there will be success”, Noatia said expressing hope of achieving success.

He said “Tipraland’s demand had an impact on the assembly elections in 2018. A section has hijacked that demand of assembly elections in 2023. But, the BJP-IPFT alliance ultimately benefited from the fight over that demand from the opposition seat.”

“It is not unusual to have separate state demands. But it is not possible for people to hold that claim for a long time because people really like and give priority to development. There was a two-sided fight in 2018. But, this time the opposition has split into two factions giving the advantage to the BJP-IPFT alliance”, he also added.
