Agartala, 14TH July 2026: Paschim Tripura Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Biswajit Shil on Tuesday inaugurated a five-day natural farming training camp for Krishi Sakhis (women agricultural facilitators) at SARS, AD Nagar. The programme has been organised under the initiative of the Tripura State Institute of Natural Farming (TSINF) to strengthen the promotion of sustainable agricultural practices across the state.
Speaking on the occasion, Shil described the initiative as a commendable step towards encouraging natural farming, reducing dependence on chemical inputs, and integrating farmers into a sustainable and self-reliant agricultural system.
“There is no alternative to natural farming when it comes to ensuring healthy soil, healthy crops, and a healthy future,” he said, stressing the importance of eco-friendly farming methods for long-term agricultural sustainability.
He wished the training programme success and expressed hope that an increasing number of farmers would benefit from the knowledge and skills imparted during the five-day camp, contributing to the growth of sustainable agriculture in Tripura.
