Agartala, 4th August 2026 : Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha is set to visit New Delhi, where discussions on the BJP’s organisational affairs, upcoming programmes, and preparations for the forthcoming elections are expected to take centre stage.
Speaking about his visit, the Chief Minister said that travelling to Delhi is a regular part of his organisational responsibilities within the party. He stated that meetings are routinely held to discuss organisational matters, workshops, and various upcoming programmes.
“We have to visit Delhi regularly to deliberate on organisational issues, workshops, and other party programmes. That is the primary purpose of this visit,” Dr. Saha said.
The Chief Minister clarified that no formal agenda has been announced for the visit so far, adding that the details of the meetings would become clearer after his arrival in the national capital. However, he indicated that discussions on the upcoming elections are likely to be a major focus.
“Most probably, discussions will revolve around how to prepare for and face the upcoming elections. That is the reason behind this visit and not any other purpose,” he said.
With several elections and key organisational activities scheduled in the coming months, political parties in Tripura have already begun strengthening their preparations. Against this backdrop, Dr. Saha’s Delhi visit is expected to play an important role in shaping the BJP’s organisational coordination, election preparedness, and future political strategy.
