Plea for government assistance for two abandoned children at Panisagar

Date:

Agartala, 19th  August 2026 :  A heart wrenching case has emerged from Raychandrapara under Juri Par ADC Village in Panisagar subdivision, North Tripura, where two minor children have been left abandoned by their parents.

Nine year old Hasina Reang and seven year old Ratna Reang are currently under the care of their uncle, Niranjay Reang, a daily wage laborer residing in Ward No. 4. Despite his own struggles with poverty, Niranjay has taken responsibility for the children out of humanitarian concern. However, his meager earnings are insufficient to provide even their basic needs.

In a written petition to the Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Panisagar, Niranjay appealed for urgent government intervention. He requested assistance for the children’s education, preparation of essential documents such as Aadhaar cards, and allocation of a house under a government scheme to secure their future.

Local residents have expressed deep concern over the plight of the children, stressing that without immediate administrative support, their future remains in grave uncertainty. The family now awaits a compassionate response from the authorities to ensure the children’s safety, stability, and education.
