Vulnerability mapping workshop held under NUHM

Agartala, 15th September 2026 :A one-day workshop on vulnerability mapping of urban slums under the National Urban Health Mission (NUHM) was held at Pragya Bhawan here on Thursday, with a focus on improving identification and mapping of vulnerable urban communities for better healthcare delivery.

The workshop was attended by Dr Aashima Bhatnagar, Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India; Sajhu Vaheed S., Additional Secretary, Health & Family Welfare and Mission Director, NHM, Tripura; Dr Nupur Debbarma, Joint Director, DF± Prasanth K.S., Lead Consultant (PHA), NHSRC; Dr Jubilee Debbarma, Joint Mission Director, NHM; and Dr Debasree Debbarma, DHS.

Representatives from the Municipal Corporation, Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Urban Local Bodies and other line departments also participated.

The workshop stressed stronger inter-departmental coordination and evidence-based vulnerability mapping to ensure equitable access to essential healthcare services for people living in urban slum areas.
