Agartala, 16th September 2026 : Customers at Sarala Gas Agency in Jogendranagar have expressed strong resentment over the alleged non-availability of domestic LPG cylinders for the past three consecutive days.
Several customers alleged that while gas cylinders were reportedly being delivered by delivery personnel, consumers visiting the agency were being made to wait without clear information about when supplies would be available.
The situation has caused inconvenience to many customers, who claimed that they had to visit the agency repeatedly to enquire about bookings and submit their documents.
One aggrieved customer said that they understood that temporary supply problems could occur, but the agency should have a proper system in place to inform customers and avoid unnecessary queues.
The customer also alleged that despite waiting at the agency, no satisfactory response was provided and a phone call was abruptly disconnected.
“We understand that gas may not be available every day. But customers should not have to come to the agency for three consecutive days just to find out whether gas has arrived. Everyone has work and other responsibilities,” the customer said.
The customers appealed to the higher authorities to intervene and ensure a transparent system at the agency.
They said that consumers are willing to collect cylinders whenever fresh stock arrives, but they should be informed properly so that they do not have to repeatedly visit the agency and wait for hours.
The continuing shortage and alleged lack of communication have led to growing frustration among customers, who urged the authorities to take necessary steps to resolve the issue.
