Agartala, 22nd September 2026 : Election Duty Voting (EDV) for employees engaged in the upcoming Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) Village Committee General Election-2026 commenced across 38 blocks of the state on Tuesday.
According to election authorities, government employees and other personnel assigned election-related duties who have applied, or are applying, in Form-15 to exercise their franchise through the EDV system can cast their votes at designated Voting Assistance Centres (Facilitation Centres) under their respective Returning Officers.
In the 38 blocks, EDV voting will be conducted on September 22 and 23 from 10 am to 4 pm at the designated Facilitation Centres.
A separate schedule has been announced for six blocks—Karbuk, Rupaichhari, Amarpur, Ampi, Matabari and Dumburnagar. In these blocks, election-duty personnel will be able to cast their votes on September 23 and 24, between 10 am and 4 pm.
Election authorities have urged all eligible personnel engaged in election duties to visit the designated Facilitation Centres on the specified dates and during the prescribed hours to exercise their franchise.
The EDV facility has been arranged to ensure that personnel deployed for election-related responsibilities are not deprived of their voting rights due to their official duties on polling day. The arrangement allows them to cast their votes in advance through the prescribed procedure before reporting for election duty.
