Agartala, 25th September 2026 : Bharatiya Janata Party is the only party that works for the welfare of human beings and the development of the last person.
This was said by Power, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath today.
Today, on the occasion of the month-long ‘Seva Sankalp’ programme organized on the occasion of the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Power Minister attended a reception and felicitation ceremony for senior citizens organized by Mohanpur Mandal at the Mohanpur Motor Stand area and discussed various issues with them.
He said that on the occasion of the birthday, a series of month-long programmes have been taken up by the Bharatiya Janata Party.
“We do not consider it a birthday celebration. We are observing this programme as a service resolution. In his 25 years of service as a public representative, the way he has thought for the people of the whole country and for the development of the last person, I pay tribute to all the past Prime Ministers and say that no one else can do this kind of development programme. The main thing in every case is the people. Such a big philanthropist does not come into politics,” he said.
The Minister said that there are different political parties. For example, many believe in capitalism, many believe in socialism, and many believe in communism.
“We believe that the Bharatiya Janata Party, in one word, works for the welfare of human beings and the development of the last person. No, we do not see development as a road being built, a building being constructed, a health centre being established, an industry being set up, or GDP increasing. We do not think so. This is not development. Development is the collective development of the physical, mental, intellectual and spiritual aspects of the person who is present. We are looking at this collective development,” said the Minister.
The Minister said that how can we develop those who are economically backward, whether they are tribals, Scheduled Castes, OBCs or those from the general category, and those who do not have water in their homes, who do not have a house, or who do not get enough food twice a day?
“We will continue our social service until their development happens. That is, Ekatma Manav Darshan. And this is what Swami Vivekananda said, and Deendayal Upadhyay said. Happy birthday to Deendayal Upadhyay today. Today is a good day, and we have organized this event. We have hosted a lot of senior citizens here today, to give them respect, to discuss with them, and to get their ideas about development. We have arranged tiffins for them and gifted them the Gita and shawls,” said the Minister.
