Vidya Bharati explores new school initiative at Surma, Kamalpur

Agartala, 8th October 2026 : A delegation of Vidya Bharati Shiksha Samity Tripura, comprising Dr. Nilmoni Chakraborty, State Co-ordinator, Dr. Chitra Pal, member and Priyatosh Pal, Project Coordinator, HRVM, visited a proposed site at Choto Surma in Kamalpur. The delegation was accompanied by Swapna Das Paul, MLA of Surma assembly constituency.

During the visit, the delegation assessed the proposed site and discussed the possibilities and necessary steps for establishing a new educational institution in the area. The proposed school aims to provide quality education rooted in the Bharatiya Jnan Parampara, while aligning with the transformative vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The initiative seeks to promote holistic education by integrating Indian knowledge traditions, values and contemporary educational approaches. The site visit marks an important initial step towards fulfilling this vision. Further consultations and necessary processes will be undertaken for the establishment of the proposed school.
