Assam Rifles distributes sewing machines to tribal beneficiaries in Tripura under AR CAP Project

Agartala, 8th October 2026 : Assam Rifles, under the aegis of distributed 25 sewing machines along with stitching materials to tribal beneficiaries at Garjanmura Village in Gomati District and Bagabasa Village in Sepahijala District, Tripura, under Assam Rifles Civic Action Programme (AR CAP) Projects 2026-27.

The initiative was undertaken with the aim of promoting livelihood generation, women empowerment and self-reliance among tribal communities.

The sewing machines will enable beneficiaries to undertake tailoring and stitching activities, thereby creating sustainable avenues for income generation and improving their socio-economic well-being.

The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to Assam Rifles for the assistance and appreciated the continued efforts towards addressing the aspirations of the local population. Through such initiatives, Assam Rifles continues to strengthen its connect with the people and contribute towards inclusive development and empowerment of communities in the North East.
