Agartala, 27th October 2026 : Assam Rifles, in coordination with Customs authorities, seized 1,500 bottles of ESCUF syrup valued at approximately Rs 15 lakh during a joint operation in Tripura’s Khowai district on October 26.
The operation was launched based on specific intelligence inputs and continuous surveillance to curb the illegal transportation of pharmaceutical products in the region.
Acting on the intelligence, a joint team of Assam Rifles and Customs personnel conducted a search in the general area of Singicherra in Khowai district, where the consignment was discovered concealed.
The seizure highlights the continued efforts of Assam Rifles and partner agencies to curb the illegal movement of pharmaceutical products and disrupt trafficking networks operating across the Northeast.
Following the recovery, the seized consignment was handed over to Customs authorities for further investigation and necessary legal proceedings.
The operation underscores the ongoing coordination between security forces and enforcement agencies to combat illicit activities and strengthen vigilance in Tripura.
