Agartala, June 11, 2023: A state-level joint convention of teachers’ unions, AISGEF, CCGE & W of state and central governments has been organized on eight-point charter of demands including repealing of New Pension Act, stop privatization of state agencies and filling up of all vacancies, etc.

While addressing the state-level joint convention at Agartala Town Hall, All India President Subhash Lamba said that before 2018, before the establishment of the BJP government in the state, there was a promise to get jobs only if you give a missed call. But it is seen that it has provided less than 5000 jobs in five years.

Meanwhile, the Modi government in the country said it would provide 2 crore jobs a year. 18 crore jobs were to be created in nine years. He asked where the job is. When questioned about this in the Parliament, the MP replied that the government led by Narendra Modi has provided 7 lakh 10 thousand jobs in the country. The government has included those who bought cars in this employment statistics. Therefore, he said that we have to build a fight against this government.

Criticizing the government, he also said that the prime minister invited the wrestlers to tea when they brought medals to the country. At that time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi put his hand on the shoulders of the wrestlers and said that you are members of this family. Today, when they are crying because of sexual harassment, this Prime Minister is not listening to them. So Lamba led the discussion meeting organized on this day to build a movement against the government like the farmers’ movement.
