One held for killing auto driver

Agartala: June 17. Tripura Police has arrested a person for allegedly killing a auto driver who reportedly had hit the accused in Kaluadhepa village under Udaipur subdivision.

According to the details of the incident, the deceased auto driver Santosh Debbarma reportedly hit one Tapan Debbarma, a resident of the same village, when he was on his way to home on Friday afternoon. It is said that there was an argument between them over the issue. But on that late night, Tapan went to the home of Santosh and asked why he hit him.

But within a few moments of asking this, the argument started again between the two which led to a scuffle between them

Later, Santosh allegedly hit Tapan with a spade. Then the Tapan went to his house, bring a sharp knife and had killed Santosh. On the other hand, the accused Tapan was trying to save himself by espcaping. But the police of Radha Kishorepur police station came to know about this murder and rushed to Kaluadhepa village on Friday midnight. Later, a large police team led by OC Babul Das of Radha Kishorepur police station arrested Tapan.
