Cardiology services in GBP Hospital; People suffering

Date:

BY TC News Desk

Agartala, June 20, 2023: Cardiology services at GB Hospital have been in a state of miserable condition and the common people have to suffer in the name of service. Two echo machines in the hospital have been left defunct for five days and the higher authorities of the Cardiology department were informed as soon as the two machines stopped working. But till now the officials in charge of the office have no idea to repair the two machines.

When asked about this, an employee named Krishan Roy, who is in charge of the hospital’s echo machine, said that two echo machines have been defunct since last Friday. The engineer is expected to visit the hospital and repair the machines on coming Wednesday or Thursday. But can’t say for sure when both the machines will be fixed. In the meantime, since Tuesday morning, it has been seen that many patients have come to the hospital for services but they are not getting service. Their question is how will they get the service if the echo machine is not repaired immediately after it breaks down. Coming from far away and having to return home for the past few days. And patients are in critical condition.

Some are fed up and run to private hospitals expressing their anger over the hospital services. Private hospitals are providing patient services by charging huge sums. The authorities concerned are well aware of this. Surprisingly, there is no role for the two machines to be repaired. Take emergency based services if this kind of indifference goes without saying. Meanwhile, according to the sources, those who came to the echo service at the hospital from Tuesday morning, they are coming according to the doctor’s prescription before last Friday. Since last Friday, doctors in the hospital have stopped writing prescriptions to patients because the echo machine is broken. If the service of the main referral hospital is so low, then it is not worth saying how much the service of the sub-divisional and district level hospitals of the state will be.
