Agartala, June 29, 2023: A gang of thieves took away gas cylinder from Anganwari Kendra at Mahadeb Tilla area of Madhyaganaki Gram Sabha under Khowai police station.
It is reported that, a group of thieves raided the Kheya Anganwari Kendra at Mahadev Tilla last night during heavy rains and broke the lock of the kitchen of the Kendra and took cooking gas cylinders along various items of the stove.
Later on Thursday morning, a local youth went to wash his face in a tube well next to the Anganwari Kendra and found the gate and kitchen’s door of the Kendra were broken. Immediately, the youth called the teacher on-duty of the Kendra. The Kendra’s teacher rushed to the spot as well informed the local leader Ratan Pal.
Receiving information, Khowai police station staff rushed to the spot, registered a case and started investigation.
However, local residents suspect that some intoxicated youth may be involved in the incident because these intoxicated youths have allegedly organized such events before to buy drugs.
According to the opinion of the local people, the main accused of the incident can definitely come out in the proper investigation of the police.
Now let’s see if the accused can recover the stolen cylinder and the incident by taking up the case.
