Fresh batch of 7010 Amarnath pilgrims leave from Jammu

 A fresh batch of 7010 pilgrims left early on Friday morning for the twin base camps of Shri Amarnath Cave Shrine from Bhagwati Nagar-based Yatri Niwas here.

It was the eighth batch that left from Jammu in a convoy of 247 vehicles, an official said.

The batch was comprised of 5179 men, 1549 women, 21 children, 228 sadhus, and 33 sadhvis.

4600 pilgrims left for Pahalgam in 153 vehicles and others for Baltal base camp in 94 vehicles.
