Sudhangshu Das reviews progress of ARD, Fisheries and SC Welfare depts. in Sepahijala district

Agartala, July 27, 2023: Animal Resource Development, Fisheries and SC Welfare minister Sudhangshu Das chaired a district-level review meeting on implementation of various pisciculture, developmental schemes and programmes of the Sepahijala district on Thursday.

Minister Das was accompanied by the Departments’ Principal Secretary BS Mishra, MLAs Kishor Barman and Sushanta Deb, Panchayat Samitis’ chairmen, Sepahijala Zilla Parishad’s Sabhadipati Antara Deb Sarkar, Saha-Sabhadipati, etc. in the district-level meeting.

Speaking to media persons here, Das said that elaborate discussions took place regarding the ongoing projects and schemes under Animal Resource Development and Fisheries department in the Sepahijala district in today’s review meeting. The officers and the elected representatives gave their ideas.

The meeting significantly focused on increasing the production of milk, meat, eggs and fishes. The balancing of production and demand needs to be balanced in the coming days. A three months long roadmap has been chalked out to meet the desired target, he added.

Apart from ARD and Fisheries department, Das said that the central and state governments’ schemes for the SC Welfare should reach the people and especially the students of SC community shouldn’t be deprived of any benefits.
