One arrested with 2.6 kg poppy husk in HP

Una police arrested a truck driver carrying 2.612 kg poppy husk in his vehicle.

The arrest was made late Monday during a random traffic checking near the petrol pump on Una-Rampur road.

When the police team searched the truck, 2.612 kg poppy husk was recovered. The truck driver, Gurbachan Singh, was taken into custody.

A case was lodged under the NDPS Act at the Sadar police station, said a spokesman of the police department Tuesday.
