Agartala, August 10, 2022: Agartala Municipal Corporation Cleaning Workers Sangha submitted a five-point charter of demands to the Agartala Municipal Corporation’s Mayor Dipak Majumder here on Wednesday.
The demands are- regularization of irregular cleaning employees of AMC and other irregular employees working in the Corporation; fixed salary of Rs 20 thousand for cleaning employees of AMC; in case of accidental death of AMC’s cleaning workers, financial assistance to their families and the demand to give employment to one of the family members; according to the merit, the demand to provide work opportunity to the cleaning employees of the Municipal Corporation and other working irregular employees in the eligible place; If the cleaners of AMC are injured in an accident while working on the road, they demand free medical treatment.
