Date:

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, along with Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, on Monday approved the revised plan of Rs 286.68 crore for development of Parli Vaijnath Jyotirlinga at Parli in Beed district due to tireless efforts of district guardian minister Dhananjay Munde.

The revised plan for development of Vaijnath pilgrimage site has been approved in the Summit Committee meeting held under the chairmanship of Shinde here.

The original plan was of Rs 133 crore, however, with addition of total 92 works, the cost has escalated many times now.

Therefore, on the suggestion of Munde, Beed collector submitted the revised plan of this work for approval.

After the meeting, Munde thanked CM Shinde, DyCMs Pawar, Devendra Fadnavis and senior administrative officials for approving the revised plan.

Notably, several centuries ago, the restoration of the Vaijnath temple was done by Rajmata Punyashlok Ahilya Devi Holkar.
