BJP Awadh chief passes away

 The Awadh region President of the Uttar Pradesh unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Shesh Narayan Mishra, passed away on Saturday. He was 64.

According to party sources, Mishra was suffering from kidney related ailment and was being treated at the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI) in Lucknow for the last few days. He will be cremated in his district Gonda.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has condoled the demise of Mishra and tweeted: “My humble tribute to him. May Lord Shri Ram grant the virtuous soul a place in his feet and strength to the family members to bear this immense sorrow.”

Mishra started his career as Swayamsevak in RSS and later joined BJP. He held different posts in the party, including that of the district president of Faizabad.
