Two Bangladeshi nationals accused of flying drone close to Fort William in Kolkata arrested

 Two Bangladeshi nationals, accused of the flying drone at the iconic Victoria Memorial, close to Eastern Command headquarters of Fort William, have been arrested, police said on Friday.

They have been accused of taking pictures in and around the British era memorial, about 2.5 km south of Fort William at Maidan area on Thursday.

The arrested foreign nationals, identified as Shifat and Zillu Rahman, were handed over to the city police.

A CISF jawan, who was on duty, noticed the duo was flying a drone from a vantage point on Thursday afternoon, which was prohibited under the law, police added.

They said the motive of the foreign nationals was being investigated.
