Agartala, December 02: The Congress party held a rally at the Sonamura District Congress Bhavan on Saturday, where 170 voters from 37 families joined the party. The state Congress president, Ashish Kumar Saha, handed over the party flag to the new members and welcomed them.
Saha also addressed the media and criticized the government for its failure to address the issues of scarcity, law and order, and violence against women in the state. He claimed that mothers are selling their children, suicides are rising, and people are resorting to dishonesty due to the lack of resources and opportunities.
He accused the government of being an “advertising government” that only talks about good governance but does not deliver. He vowed that the Congress party would fight for the rights and welfare of the people.
