TIPRA Motha activists attack BJP Yuva Morcha meeting, injure six workers

Agartala, December 27: A violent clash broke out between the supporters of TIPRA Motha and BJP Yuva Morcha at Belbari Community Hall in Takarjala on Wednesday afternoon, leaving six BJP workers injured.

The incident took place when TIPRA Motha activists stormed into an organizational meeting of the BJP Yuva Morcha, which was attended by Sepahijala (North) District Yuva Morcha General Secretary Pritam Saha, Secretary Saikat Saha, Takarjala Mandal President Rabindra Debbarma and other workers.

The attackers assaulted the BJP workers with knives, causing them to bleed profusely from their heads and hands. The police arrived at the scene and took the injured to Jirania Primary Health Centre for treatment.

The BJP Yuva Morcha leaders condemned the attack and demanded strict action against the culprits. They also warned of launching a bigger agitation against TIPRA Motha if justice was not delivered.
