Successful anti-gambling operation led by Debdaru police outpost

Agartala, December 29: In a significant triumph against illegal gambling activities, the Debdaru Police Outpost, under the vigilant leadership of Officer-in-Charge (OC) Bakul Reang, has successfully conducted a series of operations to curb this menace.

Under OC Bakul Reang’s direction, the law enforcement team swiftly executed anti-gambling operations, resulting in the apprehension of several individuals involved in illicit activities. Multiple raids, spearheaded by OC Bakul Reang, led to the arrest of individuals found in possession of gambling paraphernalia.

During one operation at Kwaifang market, a suspect was apprehended with gambling cards and a sum of cash. Simultaneously, in the Debdaru Bazar area, six individuals were arrested, and evidence, including cash and gambling cards, was confiscated.

In addition to the crackdown on gambling, the Debdaru Police Outpost, under OC Bakul Reang’s proactive approach, organized a program in the Debdaru Bazar area to address various societal issues. The initiative aimed to prevent child marriages, combat different forms of crime, and foster a drug-free environment in Tripura.

In a commendable display of community service, OC Bakul Reang played a pivotal role in the recovery of a missing mobile phone belonging to Anupam Choudhury. The phone was located and returned to Anupam Choudhury at Reang Para, Damdama.

The success of these operations has garnered widespread satisfaction and support from the community, showcasing the effectiveness of the Debdaru outpost under OC Bakul Reang’s leadership. It is anticipated that such operations will persist as the outpost remains committed to maintaining law and order in the region.
