Bus of NIT plunges into pond due to dense fog, CM wishes for speedy recovery

Agartala, 17th January 2024 :   In a horrifying incident today, the bus belonging to the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Agartala lost control and plunged into a pond in the Ranirbazar due to dense fog condition.

The accident resulted in serious injuries to numerous students, teachers, and the bus driver.

Local authorities, including firefighters, swiftly responded to the scene to rescue the injured victims. The victims, covered in blood, were immediately referred to GB Hospital for urgent medical attention.

Expressing concern over the unfortunate incident, Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha took to social media to convey his sympathies and wish a speedy recovery for the injured students, teachers, and other staff members.

“This is a tragic incident, and my thoughts are with all those affected by the NIT bus accident in Ranirbazar Chowk Basta area. I extend my heartfelt wishes for a swift recovery to the injured students, teachers, and other employees,” stated Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha in his social media post.

The Chief Minister also issued instructions to the local administration to provide all necessary assistance and support to the victims and their families during this challenging time.
