To celebrate Tipra Motha accord signing, TTAADC declares holiday on March 4

Agartala, 3rd March 2024:  For celebration of Historical Agreement signed between Centre, Government of Tripura and Tipra Motha  to amicably resolve all issues of the Indigenous people of the state, the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) has declared holiday on 4th March.

In a notification, CK Jamatia, Chief Executive Officer,  of TTAADC said that the TTAADC administration is pleased to declare as Govt. Holiday of all offices, Institutions, Schools etc. under the administrative control of TTAADC on 4th March, 2024 (Monday) for celebration of Historical Agreement signed between Government of India, Government of Tripura and the Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance (TIPRA), popularly known as Tipra Motha and other Stakeholders to amicably resolve all issues of the Indigenous people of Tripura relating to their History, Land Right, Political Right, Economic Development, Identity, Culture, Language etc.  “However, this Holiday declaration shall not apply to those Educational Institutions under Board Examination which is already Scheduled”, the order reads.
