Armed Robbers looted two houses in city, injured owners

Agartala, 8th March 2024 :   In a brazen act of violence, armed robbers targeted two residences in the city, leaving residents shaken and injured. The incident occurred under the cover of darkness, as the assailants struck the homes of Sanjay Pal in the Baldakhal area and Mihir Debnath in Araliya Ghosh Para last night.

A gang of robbers, armed with lethal weapons such as sabals and axes, forcibly entered the homes, unleashing a wave of terror. Sanjay Pal’s residence bore the brunt of the attack, resulting in three individuals sustaining injuries. The assailants, undeterred by the presence of occupants, looted valuables before making a hasty escape into the night.

Promptly responding to the alarming situation, Additional Director General of Police, Anurag Dhankar, visited the crime scenes early Friday morning. Accompanied by a dedicated dog squad, the police launched a comprehensive investigation into the incidents. The forensic team is also on-site, meticulously examining the evidence to unravel the details of the heinous crimes.

The targeted neighborhoods were plunged into panic as news of the armed robberies surfaced. Local authorities are working diligently to reassure the public and enhance security measures in the wake of these disturbing events.
