Agartala, 9th March 2024: On the auspicious occasion of Shivratri, Dharmanagar MLA and Speaker of the State Legislative Assembly Biswa Bandhu Sen laid the foundation stone of an electric furnace and a market stall on the bank of Rana Dighi in Dharmanagar crematorium on Saturday.
The project, which has an allocation of Rs. 3.02 crore for the market stall and Rs. 1.09 crore for the electric furnace, is aimed at providing better facilities for the people of the area.
Speaking at the event, Sen said that the state government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is committed to the development of all sections of society. He said that the state has witnessed a lot of progress in the last few years, without any agitation or violence.
He also praised the role of Municipal Council Chairman Pradyut De Sarkar, Vice Chairman Manju Rani Nath, social worker Shyamal Nath and Municipal Council’s Chief Executive Officer Shyamajoy Jamatia in implementing various welfare schemes in the municipality.
The chairman of the entire council said that each market stall room will be 11 feet by 7 feet in size, which is suitable for any business. He also revealed some other development plans that were discussed by the guests present.
