Agartala, 6th April 2024:   In a stern announcement made to the media on Saturday, the Udaipur Tripureshwari temple committee declared that visitors found recording or sharing obscene videos within the temple premises will face fines. Additionally, the committee vowed to take all necessary administrative actions to address such offenses.

The committee expressed deep concern over the recent trend of individuals, including young boys, girls, men, and women, filming themselves in indecent postures within the sacred confines of the temple. These videos, the committee lamented, are then shared on social media platforms, tarnishing the sanctity of one of the holiest sites in the state and the nation.

Highlighting the prolonged existence of this issue, the committee acknowledged that it was prompted to take action following widespread condemnation on social media platforms. The committee now faces the challenge of implementing effective measures to combat this visual pollution and uphold the temple’s sanctity.

As the temple committee braces for the task ahead, the success of their administrative measures remains a pressing concern. The public awaits eagerly to witness the efficacy of the committee’s initiatives in safeguarding the revered Udaipur Tripureshwari temple from such egregious violations.
