Agartala, 18th April 2024: A 52-year old farmer named Bishambar Baishya of Champlai village in Teliamura tragically lost his life due to a lightening strike while tending to his cows on Thursday morning.
The sudden and unexpected lightning strike occurred amidst a morning rain shower, leaving Baishya critically injured. Despite swift efforts by his family members to rescue him from the scene, he was rushed to Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital, where the attending doctors, unfortunately, pronounced him dead.
The news of Baishya’s untimely demise has cast a pall of mourning over the entire area, leaving the community in shock and sorrow. Family members and locals are grappling with the sudden loss of a beloved member of their community.
