Agartala, 3rd June 2024: In a confident assertion of political foresight, former Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb returned to Agartala on Monday following a vigorous campaign in Odisha for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Upon his arrival at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport, Deb expressed his conviction that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government is poised for a third consecutive term in power.

“The nation’s choice is unequivocal; there is no substitute for Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” declared Deb to the assembled press. “India’s trajectory of development hinges on his leadership. It was an honor to be entrusted by the BJP central command with the campaign responsibilities in Odisha, and I have fulfilled that duty.”

Deb’s campaign, which spanned the four-phase electoral process in Odisha, has left him optimistic about the BJP’s prospects. “My projections place the BJP at a victorious stance in 17 seats in Odisha,” he stated. Deb criticized the long-standing governance of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, citing the state’s rich resources and the populace’s need to migrate to Gujarat for labor work as indicators of developmental failure.

“The sentiment among Odisha’s diverse communities—from tribal to non-tribal, from coastal areas to the hill belts—reflects a burgeoning positivity towards PM Modi,” Deb observed. “This is a clear indication that the BJP will not only retain power but will do so with a decisive majority.”
