Agartala, 25th June 2024:   During the inauguration of a blood donation camp held at Netaji Subhas Vidyaniketan, Minister Tinku Roy on Tuesday assured that the state has a sufficient blood supply, contingent upon effective management and the absence of negligence.

The camp, organized jointly by the NSS Unit and the Alumni Association of Netaji Subhas Vidyaniketan, witnessed active participation from students and alumni. Minister Roy highlighted the awareness among the youth regarding blood donation and acknowledged a temporary shortfall during the Lok Sabha elections. He credited Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha’s appeal for reviving the community’s involvement in blood donation.

The Minister noted with enthusiasm that, for the first time in 18 years, students from Netaji Subhas Vidyaniketan participated in the camp, expressing hope for continued efforts in organizing such events. He reiterated that occasional blood shortages are usually due to negligence and not a lack of donors, applauding the state’s conscientious citizens for their consistent contributions.

Former MLA Dr. Dilip Das, teacher Subrata Chakraborty, and other dignitaries attended the event, encouraging donors and emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in maintaining the state’s blood supply.
