BJP to Sweep Panchayat Polls with People’s Trust and Blessings: CM

Agartala, 18th July 2024:  Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha confidently asserted on Thursday that the BJP candidates would secure victory in all seats in the upcoming Panchayat elections, attributing this to the trust and blessings of the people.

Leading two spirited nomination filing rallies for BJP candidates in Agartala and Udaipur, Dr. Saha expressed his optimism about the party’s prospects. “Our candidates are poised to win with overwhelming support in the Panchayat elections, thanks to the trust and blessings of the people,” Dr. Saha stated.

Dr. Saha began the day by leading a rally for the West Tripura Zila Parishad candidates in Agartala. Following this, he performed a puja at the Tripurasundari Temple before heading a second nomination filing rally in Udaipur.

Joined by other leaders, Dr. Saha participated in a grand procession supporting the candidates after the puja. He highlighted that Thursday was the final day for submitting nomination papers and emphasized the strong backing for BJP nominees contesting in the Gram Panchayat, Panchayat Samitis, and Zilla Parishad elections across the state.

“A significant number of supporters gathered during the submission of nomination papers in Agartala and Udaipur. Our leaders, ministers, legislators, and officials were all present, demonstrating the widespread support for our candidates. With the people’s blessings, we are confident of our victory,” Dr. Saha said.

In Agartala, the rally saw the participation of BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharya, Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumdar, among other prominent party leaders. In Udaipur, Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, MLA Abhishek Debroy, BJP General Secretary Bipin Debbarma, and others joined the rally, showcasing united support for the BJP candidates.
