Assam Rifles Seize Yaba Tablets Worth Rs 19 Crore, One Detained

Agartala, 27th August 2024:  In a significant operation, Assam Rifles seized 1,20,000 Yaba tablets valued at Rs 19.2 crore in Salbagan, Agartala, on Tuesday. The operation led to the detention of an individual and the confiscation of a Bolero vehicle.

Acting on credible intelligence, Assam Rifles swiftly launched the operation, successfully intercepting the contraband. The detained individual, along with the seized vehicle and drugs, was handed over to Tripura Police for further investigation and legal action.

Despite their ongoing involvement in relief, rescue, and rehabilitation efforts for citizens displaced by the recent floods in Tripura, Assam Rifles remains vigilant in its fight against drug trafficking and illegal smuggling, demonstrating its unwavering commitment to maintaining security in the region.
